Mary Hestand - Vocals, Keyboards Mother of Arden, Arran and Ray
Born a suburban white girl (with the requisite inability to dance)
Mary was introduced to rock n roll at the tender age of 5 by the
teen-aged sisters of her best friend. Decades later, having shrugged
off the toxic side effects of boy band worship, she began rocking
out with the Frump moms. A filmmaker and performance artist in
former lives, her hobbies currently including wreaking havoc on
sterotypical images of motherhood and spreading the gospel according
to PJ Harvey. Mary has an MFA from Columbia University (NY) in
Directing for Theater, and is the recipient of grants from the New
York Foundation for the Arts, Art Matters, and the Irving Community
Television Network.

Suzie Riddle (AKA SZ?) - Drums, vocals Mother of Cecil, Daisy,
and Polly
SZ lurked around the punk scene of Austin in the early 80s, shooting
super-8 movies of many a spiky haired misfit who wandered down the
drag. In the mid 1980's she moved to Dallas and took a position as
curator of the video art at the Starck Club. She founded a multimedia
performance art band called Happy TVs in which she sang and her
back-up vocals appeared on TV monitors. This group won a grant for
interdisciplinary arts from the Southwest Alternate Media Project.
She holds a Masters of Library Science and works as a Children s
Librarian for the Dallas Public Library. SZ founded Frump in 2001
to break out of the frumpy rut of working motherhood. Now, to her
kids at least, she is a rock star.

Frances Peterson - guitar, vocals Mother of Katie
Voted Most Likely To Be Consistently Radical by her high school folk
music club, Frances Peterson has gone on to become a rock roller in her
fifth decade as a guitar player, vocalist and
songwriter with Frump. Too bad the intervening
years were spent as actress, drama teacher, conflict
resolution trainer and mom rather than practicing
with amp and ax. Who knew four chords could be so
much fun? Frances works in the development office of
a Montessori school. She has no degrees in anything
except separation, and she has 6 of those.

Lucy Galey - Bass Guitar, vocals Mother of Miranda and Celeste
Lucy studied visual art at Booker T. Washington High School for the
Performing and Visual Arts and earned a B.A. from The School of the
Art Institute of Chicago. Lucy works for a decorative accessories
outlet and spends much of her time remodeling her historic home.
She actually does the work herself! When she joined Frump her musical
knowledge was limited to observing her daughter's piano lessons.
Since then she has learned to play bass guitar and even sing at the
same time.
